Product Description The Baby Bjorn Travel Crib Light is the perfect crib to take with you on trips. It can be set up in record time, in one easy movement. It weighs only 11 lbs.(5 kgs.) and is light and easy to carry in its carrying case. Soft fabric makes it snug and cozy for your child. Both the mattress cover and the bed fabric can be machine-washed. The mattress cover and all fabric parts that come into contact with your child have been approved in accordance with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100, class 1, eco-certification. You can use the Travel Crib Light for newborns and up until your child is about three years old.

SO EASY TO SET UP!!! October 11, 2008 This bed is so simple to set up and take down. We recently took it on vacation and it fit great in our suitcase (29") with room on the side for diapers and room on the top for clothes. No worries about going over the weight limit for flying because it is so light, 7.5 pounds. Our baby slept well in it. The mattress is much better than any other travel crib we looked at. They do not make sheets to fit the mattress, so you have to make your own. The fabric of the crib is very easy to remove and wash. Some of the reviews we read made the crib sound small, but it is big enough our baby should be able to use it until he is a toddler. It is not big enough to be a playpen, but plenty big for just sleeping. We have also used it when going over to friends' homes, it gives the baby a familiar place to sleep. It comes with its own carrying case, so it is super easy to transport. The ease of set up and take down make this crib worth every penny! I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling with a small child.
Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! October 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read the reviews here and tried it, it was better then I imagined. Set up in minutes and extremely lightweight. I will throw away my Graco pack and play after getting this. Everything is easy to put back in the bag as well. As for sheets, I called Bjorn they recommended Kidline porta-crib sheets and they fit perfect. They are coming out with their own sheets soon.
We love this crib October 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After much research into cribs and portacribs, we decided to go with the Baby Bjorn Travel crib fir both home and travel (we travel a lot). I couldn't find any reviews from people who used this crib as the primary crib before our purchase, so it was a bit of a gamble but we went ahead. It was a fantastic decision - our baby loves the crib and sleeps very well in it both at home and in hotels.
It is SO easy to assemble and pack up, you don't even need to read the instructions! It is a little on the small side, but our 3 month old who is very long has plenty of room, and I think it will fit her for many more months. Besides, it is the compact nature that makes it so portable. We want her to associate the crib with sleep, so she doesn't use it as a play area, it might seem a little on the small side if you wanted it for play. The mattress is quite thin, but she is certainly comfortable, and it has a waterproof cover so no stains.
There are no baby bjorn crib sheets available at this point (I'm sure eventually they will come) but we found the Koala Kids Cotton Play-yard sheets fit fine (they are wider and not quite long enough but somehow they end up fitting very well)
In the packed up state, it is about the size of an art portfolio, and weighs less than 11 pounds, so it is very easy to carry. We have not taken it on a commercial flight yet, so cannot comment on whether it fits into overhead bins, We also find that we can leave a sheet on the mattress and fit a blanket into the case with the crib, so it is ready to go when we arrive (no frantic unpacking of suitcases to find the swaddle blanket!)
We are so happy with our purchase of this crib, and for our small house and constant travel it is a godsend. Highly recommend.
Better than the Pack n Play September 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used the Graco version for the first two years, until my son was able to start climbing out of his real crib, and potentially able to do the same with the travel crib. We travel a lot, visiting relatives by airplane and going on cruises and we took the Graco everywhere. Now my son has outgrown that crib we still needed something for him to sleep in when we travel, and when he stays at his Grandparent's home. I bought this, although I was apprehensive about the price, and have loved it since I pulled it out of the box. It just pops right up and is ready for the baby in seconds, is bigger than the Pack n Play, and my son loves it. I put him in it when it came and he wanted to play in it all day long. It is extremely light and is small enough to be a carry on on an airplane. LOVE it. I wish I had it from the beginning.
Wonderful September 29, 2008 I love this product. It has been perfect for the trips to the grandparents and for visiting friends, even just for the day. I actually bought a pack and play but the fumes alone made me want to return it. I love that the materials do not have a strong chemical odor and that all but the matress itself can be washed.
