1 out of 5 stars LOUSEY!! DEFINATELY NOT FOR A BOY! COMES APART   June 29, 2008
Bought this at the store for my grandson to use while visiting. Problems: 1) not secure on elongated toilet seat because the insert/lip is narrow and it doesn't set deep enough into the elongated toilet seat, moves easily and has potential for nasty tumbles off the toilet when child attempts to get on/off seat; 2) the soft plastic ring easily comes out of the blue frame with just a little wiggling around, again not very "safe", 3) you have to be sure to take it apart and clean it thoroughly after each use because urine and feces can get between the soft plastic ring and the frame, also there is a seam in the soft plastic ring that allows urine and feces to become trapped and is very difficult to clean. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

1 out of 5 stars Urine Catcher   December 2, 2007
This toilet seat may sit on your toilet and look nice (they can sit comfortably and hold on) the only problem is, it catches quite a bit of the urine between the two pieces. Definitely not worth it. Might as well have a little potty to clean up instead.

I actually bought 2 of these when my daughter was training. She did so much better on the 'big' toilet than the small ones. BONUS - using the ring has way less mess to clean each time! We left one at Grandma's house & 1 for home. They fit fine on our oblong seats & just as secure on Grandma's traditional round seat. However we make sure to pull the seat all the way forward on ours so that the 'gap' is in the back not the front, it is less stable when pushed back.

Once she got a bit bigger & more secure holding herself on the 'big' seat, she stopped using it.

We recently pulled i out again for our son who also loves it, The security of the handles on the side has been a bonus for both our kids! The downside for a boy is the 'deflector' is very small & doesn't do very much, however we have just taught him how to make sure he is 'pointed down' every time he sits & begins to pee.

I have noticed the seam between the top & bottom & can see how maybe it could be rough! Ours just broke in that spot.. .i think from storing it & having other things stacked on top of it. Even so, I wouldn't hesitate to spend money on it again.

It is light weight (kids can put it on & off by themself) & easy to clean. I have not had any problem with urine collecting between base & seat, but I always 'tilt' it after their done to make sure.

We have not really gotten into training our 14 month old grandson, but his mom and I thought this seat would be good in both homes and I do like the looks of it and how easy it fits onto the toilet

1 out of 5 stars Not good for a boy   October 5, 2007

I bought this seat for my 2 1/2 year old son because he didn't like sitting on the "little potty". I thought it would be good because it has that built-in pee catcher in the front. The problem is that the seat is way too small. My son is average size and every time I try to put him on the seat, it takes several times to get him in the right position. It is very hard to get him on there so his penis is anyhwere close to peeing into the toilet. He always seems to be hanging over the edge so the pee will go on the floor. I hate this seat and I will have to buy a different brand.
