2 out of 5 stars didn't work for us   November 19, 2008
I tried this on my boys and it worked ok on just regular prevention. Whenever they have a severe prolonged rash, the butt paste didn't really do anything for us. The only thing worked wonder for my boys are Dr. Lee's diaper cream. It usually clears up the boys rash in less than a day. It is a bit expensive, but well worth every penny.

5 out of 5 stars Cleared My daughters Diaper Rash Completely   May 11, 2008

We had used just about every product we could find on the shelf to help clear up a severe diaper rash my daughter was suffering from. We even took the recommendation of our doctor and tried Cortisone-10, and it did not help.

As soon as we applied some Butt Paste, it started getting better and within 3 or 4 days it had healed up.

Definitely recommend this over Desitin or anything else.

1 out of 5 stars Nice scent is subjective, average results   April 19, 2008

This paste did no more to clear my son's rash than any other product. I also happen to think the scent isn't so nice, I found it rather strong and displeasing. You're better off for the money and smell factor to buy burt's bees or Dr. Sheffield's diaper rash cream. To date, I've never seen a rash cream with more zinc thatn Sheffield's but it's hard to find. Try ebay.

4 out of 5 stars Best thing for Babies!   February 3, 2008

My pediatrician gave me a sample of Butt Paste (BP) when he saw that my 5 day old new born's rear was covered in Desitine to prevent diaper rash. He said that BP would protect my baby's skin AND alleviates diaper rash. So I tried it. My daughter is now out of diapers and she's has NEVER EVER had a diaper rash. (May God strike me down if this statement isn't true) I applied it every time I changed her diaper and wiped her bottom. I've given it to other moms who now loved it and even my brother-in-law used it when he got an irritation one hot summer day that he was working on the roof. I use it on my dry skin, too.
Out of the many people I've told about BP, only my niece got a slight allergic reaction to it so don't buy the tub right off the bat. (my sister [her mom] has a history of skin allergies so maybe if you have that you should be careful and monitor it. It cleared away once she stopped using BP.) Otherwise I LOVE THIS PRODUCT.

5 out of 5 stars Ciment de la Derriere - Tres bien!   February 1, 2008

Previously on Battlestar Galactica:
On shore leave, I had visited the planet Sephora, where an emissary offered me the "miracle" Skyn Iceland skincare products from her homeworld. I inadvertently disclosed that I had been using Tazorac and Neutrogena facial soap, and was chased to the edge of a cliff by a large crowd of villagers with torches and pitchforks. But the sales associate called out "Wait! I think she has money! How about we sell her something instead?" I purchased the Skyn Icecland pack and narrowly escaped with my life. But it was a dirty trick, because when I got home and used the product, it BURNED and left me with some substantial raw pink patches that hurt like billy-oh and did not look like they would go away anytime soon.

This episode: Ciment de la Derriere
Disfigured like a Starfleet cadet after a phaser malfunction, I searched the Federation database for a possible cure, and came across Butt Paste. I sent an away team to procure some from a nearby Target. Our man wearing a red shirt was assimilated by the natives, but the away team managed to return with the Butt Paste. It's a light brown color, with no odor, but this did nothing for my self-consciousness about putting a product called "Butt Paste" on my face. However, it was either this or walk around looking like one of the Lobster People for 2 or 3 weeks. It was not really soothing going on, though not irritating either, and made my skin shiny. In spite of the lackluster first impression, after two days of applying it to the burns 24/7, the pinkness and pain were completely gone, so much so that I was able to resume Tazorac yesterday. I read about the other uses for Butt Paste, and tried it on bikini area shaving bumps. My fantastic, smooth bikini skin led to a close encounter with the ship's captain. :-) Just about any place where my skin is red, irritated or itchy, this stuff works wonders. The name and packaging lack the glamour of Creme de la Mer, but I think it works a whole lot better, and we will definitely be stocking this in sickbay from now on.
