Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Kids get the best seat in the house with this potty pal. It's contoured, it's comfy, and oh so nice for little bottoms. The handles are adjustable for different size kids and offer security when seated. The one-piece cushion with a deflector shield is very easy to clean and has feet for stand up storage. This is sure to be the most popular seat in the house. Age: ideal for 12 months + Return Note: For hygienic reasons, this product can not be returned.

1 out of 5 stars Pee collector!!!!   November 3, 2008
I really was hoping this would work for us. I have a very petite little girl. It fits her fine, but the underside catches her urine everytime she uses it. When you remove the seat from the toilet, the urine drips all over the place. Let's not even talk about the smell, it's impossible to clean! I've tried! I'm shopping for another potty seat.

2 out of 5 stars Pretty good, but leaks   October 31, 2008
I must admit, this is the first potty seat that my son can sit on where the pee doesn't fly over the top the seat. I was really happy with the seat up until I picked it up...

The seat, unfortunately, catches all the pee on the underside, causing the toilet seat to be pee covered, the potty seat underside to be pee covered, and the seat to leak out pee once you pick the thing up. While I'm happy that the seat works - I hate it because I still need to clean things up when my kid gets off the seat.

In comparison to the other seats I've purchased, this seat is the best because less pee gets on the floor - I might just have to try putting silicon around the base to keep it from filling with pee though...

UPDATE: I sealed all the edges of the seat with some silicon caulking (got it from Lowes for $3) and now the pee goes where it's supposed to go - into the toilet! Just because of that, I would actually raise it a star for use, but it's a DIY star. If you're willing to go that extra mile, this seat works great.

1 out of 5 stars If it only didn't leak   August 15, 2008
I picked this up at a store because it had handles (sanitation and security) and it was cushioned (comfort). The problem is that when we removed it, urine would be dripping off the plastic ring. The seat is designed as a two-piece with the plastic ring insert screwed onto the underside of the cushioned seat. The seam is not tight and probably where the urine was getting trapped and would then drip when we pick up the seat. It was two little feet so you can stand it up.

I don't know if this was a defective unit or a shortcoming in design. IWe have better luck with the first years? which is a blue/white soft plastic. it's got handles and the cushion top piece fits over the bottom blue piece.

5 out of 5 stars Love it   September 20, 2007

My son is very particular about which potty he will use. This is the only one he will use on the big toilet. The handles are awesome and it fits perfectly. Very stable.

As for deflectors, we had problems with the potty chairs that sat on the floor and had a deflector. We simply taught him to point before peeing and we have no mess. While learning, I simply kept a thing of disinfecting wipes handy to clean up and removed the rugs from the bathroom.

Of course, I'm really looking forward to the day when I don't need one of these. But until then, this is the one for my house.

5 out of 5 stars Great!!   January 17, 2007

I feel so bad that this seat has such a low ranking. It is perfect for my girl. I do understand why people with boys may have issues, but if you have a girl it is just wonderful. I have a very cheap one that is designed similarly but this one is so much better. It has a great weight to it so it's not flimsy, and it fits my girls bum so nicely, and the cushion is very firm yet soft. The handles make is so easy for her to just climb up on the stool, sit and pull herself back.
My friend has the pricey Bjorn and while that is nice, I saved $15 on something that works just as well.
