Loved but not followed August 7, 2010 Svekruha (Charlotte, NC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have ordered this cute doll for my adorable granddaughter's second birthday. She absolutely loved the doll, was taking off the diaper, putting the doll on the potty, even trying to put the diaper back (for now, not quite successfully). However, the doll did nothing to change my granddaughter's very negative attitude towards her own potty.
Great potty training help! July 4, 2010 Meredith M. (Portland, OR) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 21 month-old daughter LOVES her Prudence doll. She has been a great addition to the book. My daughter actually wants to go on her potty with Prudence. The only drawback is that sometimes she has to go and we have to find Prudence before she will sit on the potty herself.
Don't think it helps April 8, 2010 Dr. George Tsatsos (USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
We tried the video and doll-Didn't encourage our daughter. They were interpreted as playthings rather than items to interact with.
Doing much better in potty training with a one on one on the toilet or potty.
If you want a doll-OK, otherwise save your money.
Cute little doll March 19, 2010 A. Crockett (Merced, CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this doll for my daughter along with the book and movie. My daughter really enjoyed the movie and book. The doll she seems to like, and was very curious about her, as she does have all the little parts of a girl. I thought the doll itself would be a little bit bigger. But for the price I payed I'm happy with her. She's cute and I'm hoping that it will help my daughter get excited about using the "potty".
Ummm.... March 16, 2010 C. Pearson (Portland, OR) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Well, the doll came packed in a plastic bag with a cardboard top - it looked like it could have been hanging in a convenience store or grocery store, ala faux barbie dolls (think 'fashion dolls'), that cheap - really, just repackaging it might have had an impact on my reaction, but first impressions do stick.... However, my baby was interested in it, especially because the potty looked like her little baby bjorn travel potty. The doll is tiny, much smaller than I expected. The cost seems a bit high for what we got, but when potty training, is price really an object? Baby is just a year old, so we're still working on it, but I do think the visual aid is and will be useful as we proceed. When we cancel the diapers out, it will all be worth while! I'm sure that's why they aren't so worried about making it look nice upon arrival, they know parents will do almost anything to ease the potty training pain - but it really looks like it cost a dollar or two to make.
