Product Description
Put a nickel in the jukebox, assuming you can locate a jukebox, and that you remember what a nickel is. Here's legendary Beach Boy Brian Wilson singing lead and 10-part harmonies on "Speed Turtle." The incomparable Neil Sedaka crooning "Your Nose." B. B. King brings you a wistful "One Shoe Blues," Gerry and the Pacemakers offer "Mersey Lullaby," and relative newcomer (in this seasoned company) Patti LuPone of "Evita" fame sings—what else—the "Rabbit Tango." And then there's the hit single from Boynton's Your Personal Penguin sung by the impossibly cute Davy Jones of The Monkees. I mean jeepers, even Sha Na Na is here.

So roll over, Beethoven—and Lieber and Stoller. Boynton & Ford once again bring great words, great music, great performers to children and vintage children alike. And OH! The book! Boynton has filled it with all things 50s and 60s. And, well, golly, it’s so happy and colorful and just terrific, Mister! Grab your saddle shoes, plunk two straws into that swell chocolate malt, and let's twist again like we did last century.

5 out of 5 stars Blue Moo: 17 Jukebox Hits From Way Back Never   November 11, 2008
Heard this CD at a friends house and LOVED it! Knew I had to get it for another friend of mine for Xmas.

5 out of 5 stars Very Mooooving!   November 3, 2008
Sandra Boynton's "Blue Moo" is a great book and CD for kids. My 18 month old son really gets a kick out of the opening song, "Singing in the Shower." What's refreshing about the music is that adults can really like it too. It's not your typical kid music. Reminiscient of the 50's and 60's so maybe grandma will like it too. Need to know the words to your kid's fave song on the CD? It's all in the book, along with the great illustrations by Boynton we've become accustomed to. Worth the money!

4 out of 5 stars Sandra Boynton, Blue Moo   October 9, 2008
These are catchy toons. We also have Philladelphia Chickens. Can't wait to get more!

5 out of 5 stars Another great one from Boynton   October 9, 2008
I purchased this for 2 of my great grandchildren. I bought it just because Boynton's name was one it. They had loved other books of hers. I walked in the other night and the girls were playing it and loving it. I recommend it to all my grandparent friends to give to their little ones.

5 out of 5 stars Blue Moo   October 3, 2008
We love Blue Moo. My only problem with Amazon is that I wanted to order 6 copies for my grandchildren and it would only let me get one at a time. I felt ripped off a little because of the shipping charges - that would mean I would have to pay it 6 times. So, I am looking into what it would cost at Chapters so I can get the other 5 copies at one time.
