5 out of 5 stars If I could give more than 5 stars, I would   June 13, 2008
My boys, ages 4 and 2, absolutely LOVE this book!! They are huge Blue's Clues fans and my youngest son actually got this book for his 1st Birthday. My boys looked at it so much that it started to fall apart. So, I just got them a new one. They look at it everyday. And have fought too many times to keep track over who was going to look at it during "quiet time" (about 30 minutes before bedtime or naptime). It's probably the cutest book they have. Max and Ruby have a really cute one too...Hide-and-Seek (Max and Ruby)

5 out of 5 stars Occupies My Daughter!   April 3, 2008
Once my daughter and I read this book together a few times, she took it and ran with it! She likes to flip through the pages and lift the 50+ flaps, talking to who/what is behind them. She is 20 months old, watches Blues Clues a couple times a week, and LOVES this book. It is a big substantial board book and has so much to discover inside. She likes to read it on her own or with me or dad, and NEVER tires of it. I strongly recommend this great Blues book!

4 out of 5 stars Blue's Clues Flap Fun   January 1, 2008
This book is basically an exploration of the Blue's Clues house and a game of Blue's Clues. In this book, we play Blue's Clues to figure out where Blue wants to go. This is a large flap book and there are lots of fun flaps. Among the things hidden under the flaps are snails, our friends, various objects, but the clues are all out in the open. A fun exploration of the house. We get to see the living room, bedroom, kitchen, backyard and more. The insides of the flaps also contain story content. The illustrations are bright and fun as always, with Steve brought into the story by photography. The standard retail price of the book is $10.95, though I'm sure it can be found for a lot less these days.

As other reviewers have noted, the flaps with this book are a bit problematic. If this book is being bought for a kid, they should probably be opened first by a parent before giving the book to the kid. Still, this is a great book that I think would be greatly enjoyed by most fans of the show.

5 out of 5 stars Here are a few clues to help you decide   October 31, 2007
I took this book through three kids before the flaps got ripped out. I know a lot of reviewers have complained about "flimsy flaps" but I don't think it's fair to blame the book because a toddler ripped it. All I can tell you from my many years of experience with toddlers and board books is that rips are going to happen no matter what the flaps are made of.

That said, this is a really fun book. It has lots and lots of flaps, as well as a plethora of objects and characters for your toddler to identify. If anyone in your house is a fan of the original show, you'll be thrilled to see all of your favorite friends represented here. In addition to identification opportunities, there's also a story that takes you through a clue finding experience, as you and Steve try to figure out where Blue wants to go today.

My kids have loved this book. My two-year-old is currently obsessed with it. We read it like ten times a day.

3 out of 5 stars An odd answer to, "Where does Blue want to go?"   May 26, 2007

This was a clever book, but I found it a little unusual that the answer to, "Where does Blue want to go today?" is school. Usually if one asks their child where they want to go, it would be someplace fun, like mini-golf, bowling, the movies, etc.
