Product Description Junie B. Jones knows what she wants to be when she grows up -- a beauty
shop guy! All she needs is a little practice. Okay, a lot of practice. And a
few volunteers. Like her bunny slippers. And her dog. And maybe even...herself?

Reader beware! August 1, 2008 Cute book as all of the other Junie B. books, but beware! I read this story to my kindergarten class and one child decided to try his hand at being a 'beauty shop guy' himself! He cut about 2 inches off of one little girl's long blond hair and a big chunk out of his own. I won't read it again to my kinders.
Hiding your problems won't make them go away, Junie B. Jones! January 6, 2008 The author of Junie B. Jones is a Beauty Shop Guy has positively climbed into the psyche of a five year old child, because she has the uncanny skill to show us the world just as that child sees it!
Spellbound by the the work of a hairdresser who cuts her Dad's hair, Junie becomes convinced that this is the job for her. Bunny slippers, the dog, and eventually Junie, herself benefits from her new ambition.
Of course, lessons are learned and everything is wonderful in the end -- including Junie's own hair!
Barbara Park is a wonderful writer who knows how to turn children into passionate readers.
Add an additional five stars if you were ever a "beauty shop guy," yourself!
Pinkie Gladys Gutsman? January 22, 2007 Pinkie Gladys Gutsman?
That's what Junie B. wants for a new name. Here are the reasons, Pinkie is the beautifulest colour Junie B.'s ever heard of and Gladys Gutsman is the snack lady at school so who wouldn't want to be named after her that what I{Junie B.} would like to know. One day Junie B. goes to the beauty shop with her dad. And she was the lady's helper. So Junie B. thinks what's the bestest job in the world? A beauty shop guy of course! Read this story to find out how Junie B. finds out about years and years of practice. Read it.....AND I MEAN IT!
Bad and Badder August 6, 2006 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
Okay, I'll start with the good points.
1. good for little kids who know a lot of weird humor
2. sort of funny, even when you look back on it
3. nice, if you have a small kid, buy it.
now, the bad parts.
1. Junie B. Jones is retarded.
2. bad grammar
3. story is usually very boring unless you're small
Some people may think it's stupid, but this is a book for kids who have just learned to read chapter books. I DO NOT recommend it for kids over 7, but children under 7 will learn a lot from it. (including how not to cut their hair)
Junie B Jones has trouble being a beauty shop person March 24, 2006 I read this book and I thought I'll never do that ever. But, other wise the book was funny, cute and had lots of advice. Here is some advice if you are older than thirteen. You can cut your own hair. I gave this book five stars because, it's like the book of the year! Junie B. Jones thinks with her springs in her hair that she is going to be like a total doofuss. But, the lady at the beaty shop helps her with her springs. She gets a whole new look! I love the book! IT'S THE BEST BOOK I HAD EVER READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
