Best Blanket for Swaddling for Sleep! May 9, 2008
This blanket is outstanding! And cheaper than the Miracle Blanket I heard so much about. You can really swaddle tightly and securely with thiis blanket because of its size (42 x 42, not 30 x 30 like most receiving blankets). I didn't think I would need this large size until my baby was a little bigger, but after spending the first couple nights getting up every 20 min or so to re-wrap her, I switched to this blanket and will not switch back. During the day I often use the smaller ones because she's secure in my arms and it doesn't matter so much if she wriggles free an arm or a leg. But if she's going to need to go down in her bassinett, then it's only one of these SwaddleDesigns Ultimate Receiving Blankets. She'll sleep 2 - 3 hours, which is as long as she can go between feedings at this time. As a bonus, these come in great designs as well so they look nice in the nursery.
