The Advanced Safety Frame is side-impact tested, and has deep side wings for extra side protection. The unique lightweight construction allows the outside dimensions to stay the same, but increases the inside dimensions for the baby's comfort. Features a full EPS foam liner, utilizing the same energy-absorbing EPS foam used in bicycle helmets to provide superior protection. The two separately-attached LATCH points reduces lateral movement of the seat in the event of a side-impact collision. Don't waste your time November 30, 2008
This car seat is rated to fit an infant up to 22 pounds. My son is 18 pounds and I had to upgrade to a new seat because the straps were too tight once we put a winter coat on him. Also the base kept on getting loose for no aparent reason other than just every day wear. The locking mechanism for the base was very difficult to deal with. Overall I regreat this purchase. I will not recomend this to my worst enemy!
