Change pad cover is made of a plush velboa fabric that is stain resistant. Fits standard changing pads 16? x 34?. Accommodates most change pad safety straps. Buy two! Use the second while washing the first. Sage.

Amazon.com Product Reviews

Need a convenient way to extend the life of your changing pad? The secret to the Basic Comfort Ultra Plush changing pad cover is the Velboa fabric. Used frequently in baby blankets and plush dolls, Velboa is a synthetic fabric that is extremely soft, and almost fur-like. Being synthetic lends to its practical use given its stain-resistant and machine-washable properties. Even though it was made for Basic Comfort changing pads, the Ultra Plush changing pad cover will fit standard 16-by-34-inch changing pads and accommodates security straps as well. It should be noted that the sage color is noticeably lighter, and perhaps brighter than your traditional pastel. The manufacturer recommended age is birth to 24 months. --Scott Teal

5 out of 5 stars Ultra soft   August 23, 2008
I've been using this pad for almost two years now and it's held up through all the rigorous washing and it's still super soft.
I'm getting ready to buy another one for our newest addition.

4 out of 5 stars Nice and soft   August 19, 2008
I like the color and I generally use a multi use disposable pad on top of it so that it does not get soiled often. It is machine washable and the look/feel has not changed after few washes. The only reason I am giving it a 4 star is because it is quite expensive.

2 out of 5 stars Works fine, but not at all needed   August 4, 2008
The pad cover works okay, but it was not very practical and it was therefore a waste of money for us. If your little one ever leaks or spills (as ours did a couple of times a day), you'll end up taking this off and washing it every time that happens. Instead, if you simply skip the cover, you can just wipe down the underlying (plastic) pad in a few seconds. Save your money (and laundry loads) and just use the pad itself!

5 out of 5 stars plush indeed!   June 18, 2008
This change pad cover is nicer than the one we bought off the shelves at Babies R Us. Maybe that one was not "ultra plush", but I think price was comparable, so this is definitely the better deal.

4 out of 5 stars Nice and soft but not necessary   May 11, 2008

We have a few of these changing pad covers, which fit well on the Basic Comfort Contour Changing Pad. The Velboa material is plush and soft, and it would feel great next to our baby's skin-- if it ever came in contact with him! Because our baby is a boy (i.e., is prone to spraying) and is breastfed (i.e., drinks a natural laxative all day), we've found it's more convenient to put a flannel receiving blanket on top of the changing pad and just whip that off every time he gets it dirty. This happens at least once or twice a day, so it's much more cost-effective to have about a dozen inexpensive receiving blankets on hand than a dozen relatively expensive changing pad covers, unless you want to do the laundry every day. Maybe someday when our boy gets a little older and has fewer diaper changes, he'll be able to lie directly on top of the changing pad cover, at which point I'm sure he'll find it nice and comfy. For young infants, though, I'd recommend investing in quantity rather than quality.
