 Perfectly adequate December 29, 2008
I haven't used other tubs to compare this one to, but it met our needs just fine. We used the sling when he was a newborn, and now my 12-month old is still using the bath on the toddler side. He slides around too much in the regular tub, and this keeps him more under control, and it uses much less water than filling up the whole tub.
The temperature gauge has to get pretty darn hot to start changing color, so I don't use it. I never use it outside of the sink or tub, so I'm not sure how the leaking is.
No mildew problems so far, and I just drain it and air-dry it after each use.
Good tub, but what color changing? December 23, 2008
We were given this tub by a neighbor whose little boy finally outgrew it. My little boy has been using it for about 5 months, now, and is a year old today. I can see him using this tub for a few months yet, too. I like the design, I like the two seat option, and the caddy on the end to hold toys, soaps, etc., but what's the deal with the temperature based color-changing tab in the bottom?? No matter what the temperature is I put in the tub, the tab stays the same color. It's a good thing I've got other bath toys that serve the same function, and ACTUALLY change color with water temps!

When we first got this tub, we loved it, especially the infant sling! The sling was easy to clean and change the water. But as our daughter got bigger, the tub would slide around in the big tub when we'd lift her up to clean under her (around 18 months old). So we just moved her to the regular tub after that.
However...as time when on, a layer or scum built up around the "legs". I couldn't find a cleaning instrument that would fit down there to clean it out! I tried scum sprays and tried q-tips. So it could use it's own scrubbing brush just for those hard-to-reach areas! I'm looking at other models for my second child.

I love this first years tub! i spent a lot of time looking at reviews on different tubs and i am glad that i decided on this one! it makes bath time very easy and fun. I loved the sling part when my daughter was tiny and now that she sits up on the toddler side, she loves it! Best baby bath ive seen and used!
