Not the Best! December 27, 2008 We received this as a gift and used it for 2 months (baby is 10 weeks now). We found it difficult to use, too large to fit over a sink (not contoured on the bottom to do this anyway) and if you're going to put in a tub, why bother with this at all? Just get an infant seat for the tub.
So what we ended up doing is filling it with water and carrying it to the floor to give our son a bath there. This task could only be completed by my husband as it is quite heavy filled with water. The mesh seat is unpadded and the "stopper" at the bottom to keep them from falling off is pretty much useless, even a baby who isn't a real wiggler would fall off.
We liked the shower attachment but we've since borrowed my sister's infant tub that fits over kitchen sink and won't be using this tub again.
Great concept but.... June 18, 2008 The thing I liked the best about this was the shower feature - I had no problems getting mine to work and I liked that the second you take your thumb off of the button on the sprayer the water stops, it's easy to control the flow of water and direct where it's going.
The shower feature is pretty much the only thing I liked about this tub. The fabric that covers the back-rest where the baby lays is just that - a thin layer of mesh fabric, there is no cushioning there. And the little padded part that the baby's bottom sits on I had a hard time getting to stay put - there's a little sleeve on the bottom of it that's supposed to slip over the bottom of the backrest part but I had trouble getting it to stay put, so the little padded section always floated. It was far too easy for my baby to slip and slide her way down into the tub and a few times she almost rolled right over the edge of the tub.
The concept is good, but the design is poor I think - this is not something I would purchase again or recommend. We're trying the Primo tub next, hopefully we'll like this one better.
great concept... if only it worked... February 2, 2008 I just bought this bath center and no matter how much I work the pump, I cannot get so much as a drop of water to come out of the sprayer. I will be returning it and purchasing another on the hope that I just happened to get a fluke, as it seems like it will make a great bath center if I can only get the sprayer to work.
There's one last thing - the mat is really hard to get on to the tank, but I expect this will get easier with use.
I'll keep you updated on how this goes. :)
Our baby LOVES this bath with built-in showerhead! August 21, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Our baby used to cry and cry during bathtime and it stressed us out each time. So we decided to try this bath with built-in showerhead and it was a miracle - she loved it and still loves it 4 months later! She's always mesmerized by the water that comes out of the showerhead and she even giggles sometimes! It's like a game. This bath also keeps her warm, has a temperature strip to tell you that the water's the right temperature, and the best part is how much easier it is to rinse the shampoo out of her hair using the showerhead (no shampoo in her eyes or ears anymore). We always have 2 people giving her a bath by the way, it makes it so much easier and safer. This bath has made bathtime fun for her and for us, it's been a real lifesaver for us!
What a bummer! July 31, 2007 I had seen this on Amazon and instantly added it to my Baby Registry. I was so excited to see it when I unwrapped it at my Baby Shower. I couldn't wait to use it. When I finally did for my son's first bath at home, it worked great. But, the next time it didn't. The shower no longer worked. Not to mention it was really difficult to handle it on your own. To make sure your baby didn't slip from side to side on the cushion, hold the shower head and pump the handle all the same time. It was a complete bummer to have to throw out something that I had wanted so badly for my Baby Shower.
