In addition to keeping baby dry and reducing the risk of diaper rash, the absorbent polymer in these diapers is non-toxic and non-irritating to baby's sensitive skin. All-Natural Natural Comfort for Your Child Seventh Generation Chlorine-Free Diapers are made with your baby and your environment in mind. The chlorine-free materials and absorbent polymers used in the diapers help keep your baby dry in between changes and through the night. In addition to being effective at keeping baby dry and reducing the risk of diaper rash, studies show that the absorbent polymer used in the diapers is non-toxic and non-irritating to baby's sensitive skin. Hypo-allergenic and offering soft, cloth-like comfort and premium absorbency, these diapers are made of chlorine-free absorbent materials that do not contribute to dioxin pollution. They feature super-stretchy resealable closure tabs and super-stretchy leg gathers that work to provide your baby with a comfortable, safe, close-fitting thin diaper. Why Does Chlorine-Free Matter? Your choice of our chlorine free diapers could help reduce cancer rates. Your choice of chlorine-free diapers helps reduce the amount of dioxin polluting our air, water and soil, and helps make the world a safer, healthier place for your family and generations to come. When chlorine and chlorine derivatives are used in industrial processes (such as bleaching paper and wood pulp), they produce substances called chlorinated hydrocarbons, which persist in the environment, accumulate in animals and people, and can be toxic to human and environmental health. The production of chlorine can also release the toxic metal mercury into the environment. If every household in the U.S. replaced just one 40-count package of conventional diapers with these chlorine-free diapers, we could avoid 133,000 pounds of pollution from entering the environment. About Seventh Generation Seventh Generation offers a complete line of natural household products designed to work as well as their traditional counterparts, but use renewable, non-toxic, and phosphate-free ingredients as often as possible, and are never tested on animals. Seventh Generation products are healthy and safe for the air, the surfaces, the pets, and the people in your home--and for the environment outside of it. Every time you use Seventh Generation products you make a difference by saving natural resources, keeping toxic chemicals out of the environment, and making the world a safer place for this and the next seven generations.

What about the first and second generations? January 4, 2009 While I think it is great that Seventh Generation says "we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations". Great advice, but only if you make things work for the generations actually using them, namely me, my wife, and our baby.
These diapers leak. Badly. Almost every time. I don't care how carefully you wrap him up, they leak. I can't wait to be finished with this package. Perhaps we will try again when he gets older and the fit changes, but for now, for newborns, I must give them one star. From what I can tell, the problems are 1) absorbent material not very absorbent; 2) cut too 'straight', does not fit properly; 3) the edge bungies are not tight or conforming enough so he can easily pee along the edges of the diaper and out. We tried some Pampers and haven't had a single leak yet.
Great diapers! January 4, 2009 We've used these diapers (as well as cloth diapers) since day one with our daughter (who is now 16 months old) and they've been great! They aren't bulky, they're very soft (almost a cloth-like feel,) and they're better for the environment and for babies than most other disposibles.
great diapers December 24, 2008 These diapers did not leak any more than Huggies or Pampers. My daughter gets diaper rash very easily and I like that with these diapers there is no bleach or dioxins on her raw skin.
Disappointed in diapers - donate remainder of diapers left in your credit!! December 24, 2008 I agree with the prior reviewers that these diapers are not good, not well shaped and don't fit babies well. The newborn size is too small for my 8 1/2 pound newborn and we have to wrap the diaper up so tight in order to prevent leaks that it leaves lines and marks on our little guy's bottome. Looks pretty painful.
We've had some minor leaks, nothing major, but its only been 2 days and we definitely are going back to the pampers. The free diapers are not worth the bad fit and potential bad leaking.
I am going to order the remainder of my free credit from spending on my Amazon.com baby registry and then donate all the diapers to the local shelters and rescue missions. There are plenty of families who could use any diapers they can get. This way the credit doesn't go to waste even though we won't be using Seventh Generation diapers in the future.
Leaky, leaky, leaky December 6, 2008 I got these diapers as part of the free deal from my baby registry. I did want to like them. However they leak. I mostly have had problems with urine, rarely stool, but one day I had to change my baby's outfit about 6 times because of leaks. That also meant that I had to change the receiving blankets and a few times the sheet protectors. The only way to minimize leaks was to put the diaper on really tight which didn't seem right. I've also used Huggies and Pampers without leaks. I have the next stage up diapers. They leak less, but compared to the other diapers, they still leak. It was great to get the diapers for free, but even at that price I'm not sure they were worth it.
