Far From Thrilled November 10, 2008 I know I am in the minority on Phil and Ted but I am far from "thrilled" with this stroller. After much reading, research, and questioning I purchased this much hyped "best ever" stroller as baby number two was about to arrive. I liked that this could navigate as single but carry two children making it easy to run errands in town, by car or just walk to the park. Unfortunately, this has become the stroller I loathe to use. It fits in my car(a wagon)- if I don't have to carry anything else or take the dogs. It does not fit in my roof hatch and the wheels are too difficult to remove to make that workable on a regular basis. So, the idea of keeping it in the car to use out for errands doesn't work and we can't take it on vacation. Not to mention, it won't stay closed loading into the car and it won't easily open fully once out. With the doubles kit attached and the stroller handlebar locked the child underneath has to be a contortionist to get in or out of the seat without smacking their head on the handlebar. My son (2) can easily get out of the harness and I constantly hit my knees on the lower seat when walking (downhill is the worst)- and I'm short! It doesn't do sand or bumpy surfaces without completely jarring the occupants-especially noticable with a car seat or a newborn. It is heavy to push and has difficulty with curbs almost tipping over if you lean it back to get up the curb. It is hard to steer one handed so no need for a cup holder as you can't drink coffee and drive it anyway. Also note, some of these strollers have had a serious problem with the stroller collapsing while occupied and the company is only dealing with models with certain serial numbers and not recalling them all. I don't know how they can be sure it is not all of them since it is such a new stroller model. Previously, I used a BOB for daily walks with my son and one or two large dogs and I was able to navigate trails in the White Mountains, beaches in NJ, and snow without effort while easily transporting it in my car. This stroller is no BOB. Overall, it seems that most of my issues are issues that could occur with any P&T stroller, which is why I am not as thrilled with this brand as most everyone else seems to be.
