By using steam heat, there are no hot spots and nutritional value is preserved. View larger. | Fast, Convenient Heating The Quick Serve heats any bottle instantly, whether it's straight, angled, wide-necked or disposable (glass bottles, however, should not be used). Once baby starts eating solid foods, you can also use this unit to warm a jar of baby food. An included basket for baby food jars and graduated water droppers keep things neat and organized, while the easy-to-read grid allows for effortless measuring. Safe Steam Heat The Quick Serve takes the fear and guesswork out of warming, so you won't have to worry about inconsistent temperatures or the loss of precious nutrients. By utilizing steam heat to warm bottles or jars, this warmer eliminates the possibility of hot spots and unlike microwaves, preserves the nutritional value of the liquids and foods it heats. For added safety, the auto-shut-off button ensures that you never leave the unit on too long or risk overheating milk or baby food. User-Friendly Design and Operation The Quick Serve is easy to use--just plug in the unit, add water, slip in the bottle or jar, and press the "on" button. Five minutes later your formula, milk or baby food is warm and ready. If you need to immediately heat another bottle or jar, simply wait 10 minutes to allow the heating element to cool off, and you're ready to go. And for added peace of mind, it also comes with a 90 day limited warranty. Sleep and Time Saver November 17, 2008 This bottle warmer has been a life saver for us. We were warming up the bottles in a very old fashioned way that consumed too much time. When the baby woke up at night it used to take 10-15 minutes before a bottle was warmed up and ready. By this time the baby was crying uncontrollably. Now with this bottle warmer it takes no more than 5 minutes! It uses a bare minimum of water to warm up a bottle. Now we are looking for a portable bottle warmer to take on the road with us.
Handy and Easy to Use. November 9, 2008 We have a new baby boy that was born about a month ago. My wife and I have divided our duties and I'm the lucky chap who gets up at night and feeds him. She keeps a supply of breast milk in the fridge. Of course, I must warm up the milk and we purchased "The First Years Quick Serve Bottle Warmer" for that purpose. It's handy and easy to use, even in my sleep-deprived condition.
I'm not totally satisfied with this product. First of all, the cap holder broke off the little measuring vile almost right from the start. There's no way to fix it. Oh well, fixing it isn't essential, but it gives me the feeling that this bottle warmer might be a cheap piece of junk. Secondly, the bottle warmer heats the milk too hot if the instructions are followed precisely. Experimenting a bit, I have found that if four ounces of milk are to be heated to the desired temperature in the bottle, then the little measuring vile for water (added to the warmer) should be filled only to three. Go figure. Once you get that little calibration problem worked out, everything seems to work satisfactorily. Using it is fairly quick and easy. Otherwise, the warmer is nice looking and easy to keep clean. Hopefully it will last as long as needed.

disappointed September 16, 2008 Well I thought this would save me time with my second child - warming up breastmilk in a hurry. It has been inconsistent and not trustworthy so far. Out of the 6 times I've tried it - 2x it was WAY too hot and I didn't have time to cool it off. And the rest of the times it wasn't hot enough. Maybe I misread the directions, but they weren't the clearest either. I'll give it another shot - but at this point it's more reliable to just use a pan/cup of hot water.
Simple and effective August 16, 2008 We have two bottle warmers so that we have one on each level of the house - this one and the more expensive Avent model and yet I prefer the First Years unit because it's simple to use especially in the middle of the night. I love that the water is steamed up and you don't have to empty it out like you do with the Avent model. And, I've found this unit to be more successful in achieving the desired temperature over the other model.
Only thing I don't like is that because the water gets steamed/burned up, it leaves a burned residue in the bottom which has to be cleaned out. However, I still prefer to do that than have to empty water out after every use as is the case with other units.
So, $20 model is easier to use and more effective than it's $60 competition. Go with this one - we wish we had two of these instead of one.
Must have for travel! August 9, 2008 I only use this bottle warmer on trips, and I "never leave home without it!!" It is perfect with my Avent bottles, and heats perfectly every time according to directions. I have the finicky baby who needs her bottle warm, and I used to run it under the hot water forever while she was crying. Now it's a breeze. And it's so fast. I can hold her and she watches it heat! Happy baby, happy mommy.
