This pillow is wonderful!! November 7, 2008 I am just about 6 months along now, and have had a lot of trouble sleeping since month 1. I don't know how I could live without this pillow! I don't think i'm going to be able to give it up after the baby is born! My husband is much happier now too, since I am no longer tossing and turning and waking him up. The pillow does take up a bit of space in our queen size bed, but it has never been in the way for him. Also the cover is really not too difficult to put on, I was able to do it in only a few minutes. Buy this pillow, it's more than worth the money!!!
LOVE THIS November 3, 2008 I don't know how I would have slept during my pregnancy with out this pillow. It works great for for your hips and back pains. The only problem is that it is hard to put the pillow case back on after you wash it
Great for everything! October 25, 2008 I love it, love it, love it! I roll up part of it behind my back and lay the other part across my belly and I use it to watch TV, play cards, get on the internet...etc. I sleep with it at night to help alleviate leg and hip pain. And, when I have my baby in a few months I will be able to breastfeed while laying down by placing the baby on the long part of the pillow and using the curled parts under my head and feet. This pillow is so multi-purpose, it has become my new best-friend.
Only complaint is taking the cover off. The cover that comes with this pillow is very form fitted and feels nice and smooth against your skin, but it is devishly hard to peel off for cleaning. Putting it back on is a lot easier though and I know there are other covers you can purchase that may be easier to use. Otherwise, I am completely happy with this pillow and would recommend it to others (pregnant or not).
Great body design, but poor neck support. October 24, 2008 I got this pillow on the recommendation of my prenatal masseuse, and I'm glad I did. It's not perfect (yet), but it's a huge improvement over my multiple-pillows and aching body.
The firm stuffing is great for supporting one's body, but the sacrifice is that it is consequently a bit too firm in the head area for me. The firm, rounded shape elevates my head but leaves my neck unsupported. I'm still experimenting with making this to my liking, by adding support under my neck, and I may try altering the stuffing. I'm a sewer, so one way or another, I will make the head perfect. ;) The last-resort scenario would be to turn it into a J-shaped pillow by lopping off the top altogether, and using my own head pillow again. (Which is one reason to consider the J shaped one to begin with.)
One thing that's decidedly nice about the top curved area, though, is that you can scoot up onto it for a really nice inclined support if you're feeling acid reflux or indigestion. (Then you need a head pillow.)
Another thing that's nice about these curved ends, is that this pillow can be used as a great Boppy post-partum: it's double-high on your lap when snaked around you, which my midwives say is actually a better height for many breastfeeding women than the usual Boppy height.
I also plan to use this pillow as a co-sleeping aid when the baby is here. I think it will make a good bumper/railing of sorts, placed under the sheet so as not to move or get on top of baby and smother. (I'm no safety expert! Please proceed with care if you try any of this, following safety guidelines recommended for co-sleeping.)
Best Pregnancy Pillow ever October 24, 2008 This pillow is a wonderful invention for a pregnant woman. I used it for both of my pregnancies and now buy them for my friends who become pregnant. They all love it too! The only negative to it is that it takes up a lot of room in the bed and our husbands usually don't like that. At least mine didn't. I also used this pillow after the baby was born while recovering from my c-section and it was great!
