Product Description The BornFree nipples are extremely soft and gentle for your baby to suckle and are available in 5 flow rates to suit babies from 0-18 months. Due to the unique BornFree valve, the nipples prevent the hard suckling needed with conventional bottles. Includes 2 nipples per pack.

Mom of One November 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
When my daughter was born 3 months ago, we wanted to use Medela bottles/nipples because they fit perfectly with the pump I was using. The nipples were way too fast and they leaked. That is when we tried Born Free. We initially chose them because they were BPA free and came in both glass and plastic. While slightly more expensive than its competitors, the Born Free seemed to be the right choice for our daughter. We used both the level 1 and level 2 nipples and were happy with them except for the occasional inversion when she was REALLY hungry.
Our daughter has acid reflux and her pediatrician suggested that we begin putting cereal in her milk to help her food stay down better. The pediatrician suggested using an old nipple and widening the whole. I did some research online and found these y-cut nipples. They worked great-much better than the homemade ones. The flow was perfect for my 3-month-old and she hardly spit up any milk. I am planning to buy a few more for convenience.
Born Free Y-Cut Nipple November 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The nipple is exactly how it's described, a Y-cut nipple head. Unfortunately, my then 6 month old now 9 month still can't take the massive flow it's designed to do. If you have a infant - toddler that can handle a good amount through the mouth at once this is a good consideration. We had to resolve our problem by adding rice cereal to thicken the fluids.
Wonderful for baby cereals and pureed foods October 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love using the Y cut nipples for my baby's cereals and for baby foods to serve on the run. It would take a really large chunk to clog them. If you make sure the food inside is not too thin, then it comes out at a very good pace for a baby over six months old.
Great nipple but more like 12 mo+ April 20, 2008 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I bought these for my six month old baby and he vetoed them instantly because the flow was way too fast. My two year old son takes an occasional bottle and he likes the fast flow. So I'd suggest just buying one pack and trying them out if you think your baby is ready.
The overall quality is equal or better to the Avent and much better than the Dr Brown I have used in the past.
Great Product March 15, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
We have been using Born Free bottles for over two months and haven't ever had a problem with mold. Recently we switched from Level 1 to the Y-cut nipples because our 2-month old has reflux and needed to be put on a formula with rice starch; the starch causes the formula to be much thicker. She couldn't get the formula through the level 1 nipples, so we tried the Y-cut, and they work great!
