Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The Philips AVENT 9 ounce Natural Feeding Bottle comes in natural and gold color is clinically proven to reduce colic. It has an anti-colic valve that not only reduces colic for less air in baby's tummy, but also works with baby's natural feeding action so your baby controls milk flow, which can help reduce overeating and spit up. The soft, naturally shaped nipple promotes proper latch-on and makes it easier to combine breast and bottle feeding. This bottle is made from Polyether Sulphone (PES) - a BPA Free material with a natural golden-colored tint. All AVENT Nipples and Spouts can be used with the AVENT Bottle, Magic and Via cup. This comes in a single pack

3 out of 5 stars They leak.   October 28, 2008

The only reason we bought these was because of the bump I am using. It has to fit for Avent. We often have to re-screw the caps on to avoid leaking. One third of the time the bottles leak. Born-free bottles are much better, and the nipples are compatible with the AVENT wide neck bottles.

2 out of 5 stars Gerber Does It Better   October 22, 2008

I have an Avent pump and some of their original bottles, so I thought I'd give these a try when switching to all bpa-free bottles. The reason I am giving these such a low rating is they are a poor value at $8.50 each. I brought these home, but decided to keep looking. I found Gerber GentleFlow, which are also bpa-free, were much better in two BIG ways: (1) cost-value (at $2.20 each for the Gerber bottles, you save over $6 per bottle); and (2) performance (I can shake/mix powdered formula in the bottle without worrying about the leaking problem that the Avent bottles have). The first time I shook formula in the Avent bottles, it went all over the place. Each time I used the Avent bottles, I'd have to test the seal over the kitchen sink and readjust as necessary. I have not had the same problem with the Gerber bottles which are the same shape and size as the Avent bottles. You can use Avent nipples in them without any negative effects. The only noticable difference is the Gerber bottles are made from a cloudy colorless plastic rather than the golden crystal clear plastic that Avent uses. I do think the Avent plastic looks better, but was not worth the huge difference in price, not to mention the Avent's disappointing leaks. Unfortunately, I had a hard time finding GentleFlow bottles in stores, so I ended up ordering them directly from Gerber.

My baby was used, and does not cause colic. The most important is BPA free.
