This is SUCH a great concept but it really does not work right. My baby sleeps great with a vibration in his bouncy seat or the swing, and this saves us when we put him down in his own crib but it's SO intermittent! I want it to work so bad that I've exchanged it for a new one twice hoping the new one works better, and on my third I'm finally giving up.
The first problem is that the vibration and the sound absolutely do not work together - on all three items I've turned on the vibration and then tried turning on the sound and the vibration turns off. It happens if I do it the other way around also. It might as well just be a vibration thing for half the price, because we play a CD for sound anyway when the vibration is on.
And that 'when the vibration is on' is tricky. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Often when it does work, it turns off within a few seconds and won't turn back on. I'm pretty convinced it's never run the full ten minutes on any of the THREE that I've tried. Sure this might be a problem with the other wireless devices in our home (cell phones, computers, wireless internet, wireless phone, monitor, etc etc) but in this day and age products made like this should work with those devices...
The under-mattress vibration thing is a great concept. Now if someone could make a decent-priced one that actually works they'll be set to rake in the money...

Loved this device. It was so much easier to get my 3 month old back to sleep in the middle of the night by switching the vibration on.

The concept of this item is great. When it works, it is WONDERFUL!!! However, over the past year, my husband and I have spent more time fighting with this thing than it has spent working. It is very sensitive in the placement of the remote module to the vibration module. We go through batteries like crazy because every time they are even close to going dead we replace them. We can use those batteries in other products so I know they are not dead. Now the screw on the vibration unit's battery cover is stripped from replacing the batteries so much. So the vibration unit only works if I slam it down to get the batteries in there tight. The voice-activation seems to have completely stopped working. And to top it off, our baby has never learned to put himself back to sleep so when the unit acts up, no one is sleeping in our house!!!
Great Product August 14, 2008
I used this for the first time last night with my son. He is 6 weeks old. He was sound asleep and the dog barked and woke him up. He was very upset. I put him in his crib and turned it on and he calmed right down. We aren't using this on a nightly basis yet, but I would definetly recommend this product.

We have a very poor sleeper, and were hopeful this product would help him stay asleep longer at night. The vibrating feature does help my husband get him to sleep more quickly, but does not keep asleep any longer during the night. Also the batteries run down quickly.
I think it might be more helpful for a very young baby.
