Increase Gate Height for Larger Dogs Use this 8 inch height extension by Cardinal Gates, the white Duragate Pet Gate Extension TPX-1 on Duragate Dog Gate Model MG-25 (not included). Extends height of steel dog gate 8 inches. Duragate child safety gates in white or taupe can accommodate a 48 inch opening. Two top extensions per gate is the recommended maximum. For larger pets, you can install the pet gate 4 inches off the floor to add more height.

Just to make buyers aware, this product is NOT the full gate unit that is (as of this writing) pictured in Amazon's main photo. That picture shows this product (the 8" height extension) mounted on top of the Cardinal Gate Duragate Cardinal Gates - Duragate - White.
It looks like this picturing problem is not a new one; if you look at the Cardinal Gate 12.5" horizontal extension product Cardinal Gates - 12.5" Extension - White, the picture has been modified to highlight the portion of the gate which is the extension. Hopefully a mililar change will be made to this product to avoid confusion in the futuer.
