Best purchase ever September 14, 2008 Being a mother of a 3mth old and 23 month old I needed something for the both of them I would highly recommend this stroller to anyone who wanted a double stroller. I also did my research on many double strollers and found out the the BOB strollers are better then anything else. They are totally worth the money!
Tools required September 11, 2008 To attach this to your Bob stroller, you need a 4mm allen wrench and an 8mm socket. Most things that require assembly include any odd tools, like an allen wrench. I think for 90 bucks, this cheap tool should be included. Other than that, the adapter works fine for my Graco car seat. It is not as secure as when we attached the car seat to a Graco stroller, but it's fine.
Easier to replace front brake pads than to install this thing August 19, 2008 Took over an hour to install. It is a 3-step project. The worst part is that one part, the safety nut, was either defective or stripped. Why does Bob use a plastic nut to secure the safety strap? A metal nut is much safer and the threads do not tend to strip like plastic. Now I can't use the Bob and must wait until a new part arrives in the mail. How long will that take, a week?
For comparison purposes, the Bob duallie stroller was much easier to assemble. Jacking up the car and replacing the front brake pads of your car is much easier.
I have a Graco Safeseat, exactly the one that is pictured on the Bob website. Guess what? It wobbles like crazy. It's locked in for sure, but it has too much "play" and feels unsafe. It is not a snug fit like the Peg Perego stroller.
Works well..... June 11, 2008 This helps make a great stroller better. The addition of snack trays helps with our toddler and the ability to attach an infant car seat made the initial purchase of the stroller easy.
Attachment of the unit looks more difficult than it actually is. Took about 20 minutes, with the help of a 21 month old.
Seat does not latch in as with pair systems. There is still a little movement when placed on the stroller. The foam block helps as does the strap over the top, but still a little play. This is the reason for the 4 star rating.
Otherwise we love the stroller and would not trade it for any other.
Well made and functional October 5, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a great product but does have some short comings... The good: It does stay on when folding the stroller and it does not affect the collapsed size of the stroller; It is rugged and not much chance of it breaking. The short comings: It does not fold up to load a toddler (not a big deal) nor does it remove quickly, it is designed to stay installed; The Graco car seats are compatible but the fit is not great.
We contacted BOB to inquire about the fit of the Graco and they told us that the Graco fits best out of any compatible car seats. We took the stroller to the store and tried other brands of car seats and I found that the Peg Pergo fit much better. The Graco seat clicks loosely onto the "Car Seat Adapter" but the real problem is that the foot end of the car seat wants to sit too low causing the baby to be much too upright. This problem could be crudely addressed with a thick blanket being put under the Graco car seat (in the BOB stroller) to support it. Just be very aware that the car seat does not click in with a nice snug fit like it would with the same brand stroller. I do not plan on returning the "Car Seat Adapter" but if I can't address the problem I may buy a Peg Pergo car seat. This stroller is that good!
